Can I store license information in the computer registry?

Yes, you can. The licensing system looks for license information in the following locations.
  1. License File in the in the installation directory.
  2. Local machine registry:
    Windows  Deployment  Path 
    64-bit64-bitHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Spider Financial\NumXL
    64-bit32-bitHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Spider Financial\NumXL
    32-bit32-bitHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Spider Financial\NumXL
  3. Current user registry under the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Spider Financial\NumXL
